Trusting God’s Timing: Let Go and Let God Work It Out
Trusting God’s timing can be hard. Sometimes life throws you lemons that are just too bitter to make lemonade. You try to smile through it, keep the faith, but inside you’re frustrated, confused, and exhausted.
That was me.
For months, I cried out to God asking, “Why, Lord? Why this way? Why now?” I even thought about giving up on this ministry, walking away from everything, and starting a completely new chapter. I felt overlooked, stuck, and forgotten, like God was blessing everyone else except me.
But somewhere between my tears and my silence, God was still whispering: “Be still, and know that I am God.”

1. When You Feel Angry at God
It’s hard to admit, but I was angry at God. I stopped praying and opened social media instead of my Bible. I told God I didn’t understand why He was silent while I was drowning.
And yet, He didn’t give up on me. He gently tugged at my heart through random people, unexpected messages, and even women who reached out through this very blog asking for prayer, all while I felt like I had nothing left to give.
God didn’t scold me. He reminded me that He still cared.
“Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.”1 Peter 5:7
That verse reminded me that I had been submitting to my circumstances instead of the God who controls them.
2. Trusting God’s Timing When Everyone Else Seems Ahead
I started comparing my journey to everyone else’s the people getting married, buying homes, or achieving things I was still praying for. And God reminded me again:
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
Then came another reminder:
“The Lord will work out His plans for my life, for His faithful love endures forever.” Psalm 138:8 (NLT)
I realised that trusting God’s timing means believing that He’s working, even when I can’t see how or when. His silence doesn’t mean absence. It means He’s still writing the story.
3. Every Season Has a Purpose
As I kept journaling and praying, another verse came to mind:
“To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
It hit me, I was running ahead of God. I wanted to control the pace and the plan. But peace came when I surrendered control and trusted His timing.
Every season has a purpose. Some of us are still in the planting season while others are harvesting, and that’s okay. Seeing others reap their blessings should encourage you, because it means your harvest season is coming too.
4. Surrender Is Where Peace Begins
That night, I told God I was tired of trying to control everything. I laid down every plan and prayer, asking Him to take over.
I can’t even describe the peace that filled my heart. It was like a heavy weight lifted.
I understood what it means to let go and let God.
“In His time, He makes all things beautiful.”
From that day forward, I chose to trust again, even if I didn’t understand.
5. Choosing Joy Every Day
Now, I wake up and make a conscious choice: to live with joy, gratitude, and faith. Happiness is a decision. It’s saying, “God, I don’t know what You’re doing, but I know You’re doing something good.”
This ministry, Women Set Apart, belongs to Him. Every trial, every delay, every breakthrough is part of His plan to reach someone who needs to know: God’s timing is perfect.
So don’t give up. Seasons change. Joy really does come in the morning.
6. A Word for You
Maybe you’ve been asking God the same questions I did. When, Lord? Why not me?
He hears you.
He sees you.
And He’s working things out behind the scenes.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5–6
Let go of what you can’t control and trust the One who can.

Prayer
Father, thank You for reminding me that Your timing is always perfect. Help me surrender every plan, dream, and desire into Your hands. When I grow impatient, remind me that You are never late and never wrong. I trust You with my whole heart. Amen.

Wow… tok about on tym… going thru just that. .. Thank you so much. ..
Surely God’s time is the best time for us. I have also learnt to trust in Jesus & let Him take control of my life coz if I do things my way I’ll fail.
What a timely and uplifting message!God bless you Hun. The seeds of hope and prosperity you have planted in the lives of others God will multiply (not just add ) to your life. But as you say, in His perfect time.
I’ve been struggling in this so much. I feel lost in how to be joyful when you don’t feel joyful. I feel I have to try to pretend I don’t feel how I do and sweep my frtusterastions under the rug. I don’t understand how to achieve the balance of expressing emotions or trying to pretend they are not there. Dodging frusterarions, only breaks you down into a robotic like state, leaving you more frusterated. I ask for prayer, I love the idea of a prayer partner!
Thank you for your post, it encouraged me. GBU .
